RapidEye 와 PlanetScope(DOVE) 위성의 운용사인 Planet이 2017년 2월 14일 88기의 DOVE 위성을 성공적으로 발사하였으며 Planet 은 앞으로 149기의 위성을 운용할 예정이며 3개월정도의 시범운용을 거치게 되면 Planet 은 전지구 Land area 를 매일 획득할 수 있을 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
